On behalf of MATCH MOBILE, TechTeamLabs is looking for a talented, self-motivated and passionate SENIOR ANDROID AUTOMATED TESTING ENGINEER to create manual and automated testing procedures that deliver a quality consumer experience with each new release of our Android app. You will be working alongside an experienced technology team to build the next generation of the Match Mobile Android app. You will interact with other engineers locally and various team members in Los Angeles, including Design / Engineering / Management. This position is full-time in our KYIV, UKRAINE office, with the possibility for extended period of travel to our office in Los Angeles

AS SENIOR ANDROID PERFORMANCE ENGINEER, YOU WILL

  • Contribute best-in-class programming skills to develop highly innovative, consumer-facing mobile products
  • Find innovative ways to to optimize run-time efficiency, reduce APK size, and minimize memory overhead
  • Own results for performance and reliability for one of the most popular Android applications in the world
  • Design and implement real-world metrics that can be used to closely monitor the overall performance of our Android App to highlight issues/trends before they become major problems.
  • Improve the app to accomodate countries where bandwidth is limited
  • Evangelize performance awareness and development best practices
  • Work closely with other Software Engineers to optimize exciting new features
  • Ship code on time and solve problems on your own (without always needing to consult with USA team)
  • Be open to travel to Los Angeles 

 

WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Expert level coding abilities and experience with Java and Android SDK
  • Experience in object-oriented software development
  • Strong experience building Android applications in Java
  • Experience in understanding large and complex code bases, including RESTful API design techniques
  • Highly skilled in the following technologies: Java language and related frameworks, Multi-Threading and memory management specific to mobile devices, understanding of caching mechanisms
  • Passion for run-time efficiency, reducing APK size and minimizing memory overhead
  • You’re not afraid to make mistakes because without challenge, you’re not learning
  • You move fast with a sense of urgency
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills, including technical writing skills in English

  • B.S. or M.S. Computer Science from a leading research university
